Occupational Therapy Services are offered in your home, the community, your workplace or at Full Circle Health Network. Services are offered in Kingston, Ontario and the surrounding areas including Napanee, Belleville and Brockville.
Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment is for individuals struggling with:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Stress and stress-induced illness
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Chronic Pain
- Chronic Illness
- Physical impairment
- ADHD
- Concussion/Post Concussion Syndrome
- Or undergoing a major life transition (retirement, change in career, change in lifestyle ie. starting university or moving to a new city, and parenthood)
Your comprehensive assessment would include:
- Review of medical history
- Review of current symptoms and their impact on your daily function
- Review of current function (sleep, nutrition, employment, home function, social function etc.)
- What goals are important to you
- Psychosocial outcome measures to determine the areas of concern that may require intervention or would impact your function
- Physical testing if appropriate
- Functional testing if appropriate
- Cognitive testing if appropriate
- Determine a plan of action for treatment (goals, duration and frequency of treatment)
